- If you are into recruiting news, Bud Elliott is a great resource for you to get hooked into. He has some great information about Oregon-commit Morgan Mahalak at the Elite 11 Finals. It can be fun to look into the future but on a personal level, I just can't get excited about the laser-like focus some of these kids (and they really are kids) receive before they even step on the field for a school I care about.
- As we mentioned on Twitter last night, the Crafty One, Arsalan Kazemi, was selected in the 2nd round of the NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards at 54. Sounds like he will ultimately be headed to the Philadelphia 76ers. I miss him already. Also of note, the Portland Trail Blazers invited EJ Singler to participate on their summer league team.
- A two-headed turtle has been born in a San Antonio zoo. Please welcome Thelma and Louise!
- Let this be a lesson to everyone out there. If you have a home improvement project going on, make sure you are really careful transporting the supplies back to your house. This guy had several five-gallon buckets of paint and happened to lose control of his SUV. There are pictures and it has a happy ending in that the only serious injury was a bruised ego.
And finally, while I'm not sure where this video was shot, this seems very much like a Portland thing to me. A very unique cover of "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC.
