Not a lot of Quack out there today. Here's a round-up:
- Oregon has released the conference portion of the basketball schedule next season, and they'll be on the road a lot early. The Ducks start the conference season with the Utah/Colorado road trip, then host the Bay Area schools before taking on OSU and the Washington schools on the road. Its not an easy schedule, though the Ducks avoid the dreaded Bay Area trip next season. While they haven't been officially released, we also know a number of non-conference games: vs. Georgetown in South Korea, vs. Illinois in Portland, vs. BYU, and at Ole Miss.
- Jimmie Sherfy isn't starting his pro career far from Eugene, having been assigned to the Single-A Hillsboro Hops of the Northwest League.
- Finally, a great story out of Columbus, where 12-year old cancer patient and Ohio State fan Grant Reed named his cancer "Michigan." Reed has beaten Michigan, and we can all be happy about that.
That's all I've got today. GO DUCKS!
