Quack Fix: Ducks get another football commit

With another commitment, the 2014 class is up to nine. Seems crazy that the Ducks may have nearly half their class committed before summer practices begin.

Kelley L Cox-US PRESSWIRE

Another sparse news day; here's what I could scrounge up:

  • The big news from yesterday, which Noah covered here, was the verbal commitment from prep defensive lineman Jalen Jelks. A three-star prospect out of Arizona, Jelks is being recruited at end for Oregon.
  • Dale Newton has a post up on redshirt sophomore BJ Kelley who is looking to increase his playing time at receiver and make a bigger impact this fall.
  • Ted Miller previews the kicking position and, unsurprisingly, the Ducks finally fail to receive a "Great Shape." Still, I think most Duck fans are optimistic that either improvement from Alejandro Maldonado or incoming freshman Matt Wogan will help give Oregon at least a competent kicking game..
  • Ready to be the next Don Essig? Oregon is looking for a volleyball PA announcer. Two candidates will be selected by the athletic department and the final decision will be made by fan vote after an exhibition game in August.

Go Ducks!
