Oregon Ducks Football Monday Practice Report

We're less than two weeks away from opening kickoff against Nicholls

Scott Olmos-US PRESSWIRE

This afternoon was another competition day after a "helmets only" practice this morning and according to Mark Helfrich, the defense came away with the sweep over the offense.

Coach Helfrich seems to be talking a little more about having an idea on who he will be settling into their red shirt season and who will be a contributor from the get go. His philosophy is that if they can show themselves to be a solid play maker on special teams than the odds of them being on the field; come game time, increases. Mark then goes into talking about different guys stepping in up in different ways, specifically in the line backer corps.

Keanon Lowe speaks on how his approach has changed going from seeing the field as a freshman to trying to become more of a leader this next season. He also talks about whether the WRs are as deep as advertised. Audio links below. GO DUCKS!
