The Ducks are on a bit of a slide, having lost 3 of 4 including back to back losses on the road at Michigan State and Michigan. Oregon played both the Wolverines and Spartans tough but only came away with one game win out of the weekend. The Ducks started the season at #8 but since have slid all the way to 20 in the latest rankings and are in need of a few wins. That being said, Seattle couldn't have come to Eugene at a better time.
The Redhawks only have 2 wins on the year against Texas Tech and UC-Riverside. Both the Ducks and the Redhawks have played against Eastern Washington but unlike Oregon, Seattle fell in straight sets to the Eagles. The Redhawks don't hit particularly well and they don't block very well and anything less than three blow out sets for the Ducks could raise some serious red flags for the remainder of the season.
Amanda Benson is starting to come along for the Ducks. The Libero has had two 20+ dig matches, is third in the conference in digs and in the last week and is starting to fit in her role in the defense. Lauren Plum is also prepared to make history with the program as she is only 80 assists away from Nevena Djordjevic's career record of 4400.
The match will be broadcasted live on the Pac-12 Network at 7 PM and we will have the live thread here as well.
