Highlights (from yesterday's practice report)
- The Ducks were indoors and out of the rain, and Mark Helfrich was the only full-time coach on hand, and the rest of the coaching staff was most likely hitting the recruiting trail.
- Darren Carrington made a great play in the back of the end zone, wrestling the ball away from a defender.
- Despite coaching absences, the practice was still crisp, a sign that the team is well motivated with good player leadership.

- Oregon's defense has been awfully good this year. Don't tell that to Aliotti. "Good" is the enemy. Great is the goal for this group.
- Marcus Mariota is getting some early Heisman hype, coming in 2nd in the latest Heisman Pundit straw poll. Yes, that's a thing. Kevin Gemmell discusses both Mariota and DAT in this week's installment of Pac-12 Heisman Tracker.
- The Daily Emerald talks with kicker Matt Wogan, who hit his first field goal as a Duck on Saturday.
- This headline makes me laugh.
