Hightlights (from yesterday's practice report)
- The Ducks were outside and in helmets and shoulder pads. Helfrich led the team while all other coaches were on the recruiting trail.
- With the players policing themselves, Hroniss Grasu and Marcus Mariota were in charge on offense, and Tony Washington and Derrick Malone were on in charge on defense.
- I like this quote from Jeff Lockie, commenting on his game experience: "practice is where you get better. Games is just applying what you learn in practice."
Tweet Of the Day
David Shaw called Nick Aliotti the most underrated coach in Pac-12.

- Andrew Grief had a good story last night on the young players, and how they're learning that things don't slow down at Oregon, even during a bye week.
- He adds a bit more on Wogan, Maldonado, and Pharaoh Brown in his rundown. Ryan Thorburn has a bit more on the kicking competition, which still continues.
- Johnny Mundt was named the Mackey Tight End of the Week, a great honor for a true freshman in his first start.
- I'm skeptical of this given the byline (Dennis Dodd), but I'm going to read it anyway. "Watch out SEC, Pac-12 coming on strong with varied approaches"
