The Week 9 QuackPoll Will Keep This Brief

We've got uniform polls to vote in, so I won't take too much of your time.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Simply put, real life is beating the pants off of Internet life this week. Do know that I love you all, and the fact that this is going to be like 350 words has no bearing on our relationship.

Hypothetical Playoff

#1 Mississippi State vs. #4 Oregon - Thanks to moderate-to-extreme personal biases, the Ducks sneak into the #4 spot, replacing the departed Baylor. I'd watch the hell out of this game.

#2Florida State vs. #3 Ole Miss - same matchup as last week, and from the looks of Ole Miss against Tennessee last Saturday, a surer and surer Florida State win.

The funny thing about this foursome as it stands now, is it would set the FSU-Ole Miss game in the Rose Bowl, which is a gajillion miles away from either Oxford or Tallahassee.

Musings

I was surprised by TCU beating the hell out of Oklahoma State and actually falling a spot. Perhaps the Baylor loss looks worse? Or we really just wanted to give Oregon and Alabama a bump for their performances.

Would you have believed me in August if I told you five Pac-12 teams would be ranked by Week 9, but they would not include Stanford, UCLA, or Washington?

East Carolina ahead of Oklahoma makes me smile for no particular reason.

Awards and biases get the week off, because reasons. Hey look, over 350 words! Go me.
