Quack Fix: Abdul-Bassit and Cook cited for shoplifting, DAT scores first NFL touchdown

Your morning helping of Oregon Ducks news.

Scott Olmos-USA TODAY Sports

  • All hell broke loose this weekend in college football as the top 10 turned into a full blown tire fire. The Ducks fell ten spots to No. 12 in the AP Poll. At least Oregon had the courtesy of dragging everyone else down with them.
  • It seems as if Dana Altman can't catch a break. Oregon seniors Jalil Abdul-Bassit and Elgin Cook were cited for shoplifting at the Market of Choice on Franklin Boulevard earlier last month. While this will most likely just be a slap on the wrist for the seniors, it's still not a good sign for what could already be shaping up to be a rough season.
  • After a four-set loss to top-ranked Stanford, the No. 11 Oregon volleyball team responded with a sweep over Cal to improve to 13-1 on the year. The Ducks now return home to face Washington State on Friday and Washington on Sunday.
  • De'Anthony Thomas made his official NFL debut this weekend and did so in a big way. Thomas scored a touchdown on his only catch of the game, powering his way to the end zone. Thomas also returned two punts for 38 yards, including 28 yards on one of the punt returns.
