SNOWMAGEDDON has hit the Portland metro area with reports last night of 4"-6" of snow accumulation. Oh, wait, it hasn't snowed and the Portland news media has been sensationalist with it's weather reporting? Nevermind. Carry on.

- Big news on the academic side of the University as Connie Ballmer, a 1984 UO alumna, and her husband, Microsoft's Steve Ballmer, have given a gift of $50 million to the University. The money will go to the UO endowment to support scholarships for low income students and new hires in obesity research.
