Kaumatule is a 6'6, 280 lbs four star prospect from Punahou High School in Hawaii. His older brother Luke Kaumatule is a 6'7 Junior defensive end at Stanford. Canton could play at defensive end or tackle in Oregon's 3-4 scheme and is a big time pickup for Ron Aiken and Oregon's defense. He is the 53rd prospect in the country according to the 247 composite ranking and the #4 ranked defensive end in the country. In addition to Oregon, Kaumatule had offers from Arkansas, Stanford, Oklahoma, USC, Wisconsin, Ole Miss, and UCLA, among many others.

Oregon had a HUGE recruiting weekend as multiple blue chip recruits were on hand to witness the Oregon vs Stanford game. In addition to Kaumatule, Oregon also hosted four star OL Semisi Uluave, five star DL Keisean Lucier-South, four star running back/receiver Kirk Merritt, four star OL commit Zack Okun, three star OL commit Shane Lemieux, and four star 2016 LB Joel Dublanko.
Kaumatule is Oregon's second defensive line commit and 15th known verbal commitment in the 2015 class. You can watch his highlight video below.
