National Signing Day has come and gone. Congratulations to all the student athletes, football or otherwise, that will realize the dream of playing sports at the next level. Onto the Quack:
- Signing day is over, and our own Noah has a breakdown of the class. Oregon swung and missed on a number of defensive tackles, but the rest of the haul looks solid. Coach Helfrich had some comments of his own. Seven states are represented in the class, and Helfrich said his staff visited over 1000 high schools in 31 states overall.
- Football isn't the only sport excited about a new class. Soccer welcomes nine new freshmen into the fold.
- Not lost among the NSD hoopla is that the men's basketball team takes on Arizona in Tucson tonight. Arizona against the Oregon defense. This one could get ugly in a hurry.
- Finally, in non-athletics news, many Phil Knight-endowed professors made videos to say thanks. Oh, I forgot, he only does things for athletics...right?
That's all I've got for today. With SNOWPACOLYPSE 2014 on the way this afternoon, make sure you drive safely on your evening commute. GO DUCKS!
