Quack Fix: Softball's Home Opener, Men's Basketball Looks Ahead, Soccer Signees

  • Our friends over at Bleeding Green Nation note that Oregon alum Taylor Hart is headed to Philadelphia to have a pre-draft meeting with the Eagles. CBS Sports projects Hart as a sixth or seventh round pick.
  • The Emerald says that Paul Westhead's time with Oregon was inconsistent but impactful. I beg to differ. I think Westhead's teams were very consistent in the product they offered up.
  • Women's soccer announced their 11th signee for the 2014 class, adding Marlo Sweatman, a transfer from Florida State. The team's opener is scheduled for Saturday, April 5th against Portland in Beaverton.
  • Softball will finally have their home opener today at 3pm after a two month road trip to open the season. The team is 27-4 and currently ranks number 2 in the nation.
  • Men's Basketball is looking ahead after making the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year. Although the team loses five seniors, it means that there are plenty of opportunities to be had come next season. Onward and upward.
