Quack Fix: Arik Armstead has insurance, Penn Relays, and Civil War Baseball notes

Oregon Ducks news and notes. We have updates on Arik Armstead and a big insurance policy, notes about the Penn Relays, Civil War Baseball this weekend and more.

Some quick hitting topics to discuss in today's quack fix. Let's get right to it.

  • Not sure how I missed this, but it appears Arik Armstead, according to our good friend Mr. James P. Sources, has taken out a $5 million disability and loss of value insurance policy. The article also notes that athletes who take out a policy of this type are paying upwards of $40-50K in premiums and we'll almost always go into the NFL Draft the following season as a result.
  • The Penn Relays are this weekend and Ken Goe has all the news and notes about how Oregon looks to make a big impression nationally.
  • The secondary is of concern to some people but not to Oregon coach John Neal who expressed confidence on how the group is progressing this spring.
  • Civil War Baseball begins a 3-game series this weekend as the Ducks travel to Goss Stadium in Corvallis to renew the rivalry. With both teams looking to push towards a conference championship and the post-season, this series should tell us a lot about where both teams stand.
That baseball series reminds me... I need to grab my jersey and head into the office. I've got a few Beavers fans to irritate. Go Ducks!
