Quack Fix: Where is my holiday weekend? Too far away, that's where.

Let's be real. The 4th of July holiday weekend is just a week away and I'm already thinking about what I'm going to be doing. Last year, my wife and I decided that fireworks just weren't for us. We're not big into blowing things up and fighting crowds to see public performances just doesn't seem appealing. I think our baseball feelings are well known. How can we celebrate 'MURICA without those two staples of Americana?

We go camping, some place without cell phone service.

We started up this tradition last year on a whim. Oh, it would be busy we thought but boy, were we wrong. There were spots all over the place. The weather was great, we caught some fish, had some laughs, took a bunch of great photos, and just had a grand old time.

This year, we're back at it and we're taking some friends along with us. Anyone else have some fun 4th of July traditions that may seem unusual?
