It's finally here. The much anticipated College Football Playoff starts with the 2015 Rose Bowl between the No. 2 Oregon Ducks, the Pac-12 champions, and the No. 3 Florida State Seminoles, defending national champions and winners of 29 games in a row. The game features a matchup of the last two Heisman Trophy winners, Florida State's Jameis Winston, and Oregon's Marcus Mariota. The two schools have never before met on the football field.
The winner of the Rose Bowl Game advances to the National Championship Game, which will be held in Arlington, Texas on January 12. Either Oregon or Florida State will face the winner of the Ohio State/Alabama Sugar Bowl matchup in New Orleans, which will air on ESPN at the conclusion of the Rose Bowl Game.
