Oregon received a surprise commitment on Thursday in four star cornerback Ugo Amadi. Amadi had been an LSU commit but opened up his recruitment after LSU's defensive coordinator John Chavis moved on to Texas A&M. Now it appears that Ugo Amadi has already enrolled at Oregon for the winter quarter, joining Zach Okun, Alex Ofodile, Taj Griffin, and Canton Kaumatule.

Amadi's addition to the group of early enrollees is incredible given how quickly his recruitment and commitment happened last week. It also assures that the core of Oregon's recruiting class is already intact before national signing day in February. The group of five early enrollees represent five of the top seven recruits in Oregon's 2015 recruiting class. According to the 247Composite, all five are four star players. All five fill key positions of need in Oregon's class and will participate in spring practices with an opportunity to contribute right away.
Oregon currently has 19 commits and is ranked #17 in the country according to the 247Sports composite ranking. It is expected that they could take up to four more players in this class and they remain in contention for several highly rated recruits, including five-star cornerback Iman Marshall (who will visit January 30) and five-star quarterback Kyler Murray. National Signing Day is February 4, 2015.
