Quack Fix: Ducks Look to Finish Arizona Road Trip

Your daily dose of Oregon Ducks news.

Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

Not much is going on this weekend that concerns the Oregon Ducks. The highlights for the weekend are that the men's basketball team will finish their Arizona road trip and the track team will visit the Fuskies for an indoor invitational. How many more days until spring ball?

Oregon will finish their first half of Pac-12 play against the Sun Devils

The last time the Ducks played Arizona State they struggled to finish the game, but won 59-56. Jordan Bell also set the single-season shot block record against the Sun Devils earlier this month. Arizona State has been on a roll as of late, winning three of their last four. The Ducks will need to forget what happened to them on Wednesday and look forward to the rest of the Pac-12 play. The same UCLA team that Oregon dominated last weekend upset No. 11 Utah last night. The rest of Oregon's conference games are winnable and the Ducks need to set the tone for the rest of the season tonight.

Marcus Mariota's draft stock is dropping

I try not to pay attention to mock drafts because no one has any idea how the NFL draft will play out. The second one player is taken earlier than expected it starts a chain reaction and destroys everyone's mock drafts. According to Mel Kiper and Todd McShay they believe Mariota is now a top 10 talent, but they don't believe he is the number one guy anymore. Arik Armstead on the other hand is rising on everyone's big boards. The defensive end is now a first round pick in a majority of draft scouts eyes. I personally don't see what the scouts see, but I wish Armstead the best of luck in his professional career.

Kyler Murray sticks with Texas A&M

Signing day is next week and five-star recruit Kyler Murray will stick with the Aggies. It was rumored that Oregon could make a huge splash in the recruiting world by convincing Murray to be a Duck, but he is sticking to his Texas roots. Eastern Washington quarterback, Vernon Adams, will be visiting Eugene this weekend. Adams would bring veteran leadership to next years team and if he commits to the Ducks it will give the young quarterbacks more time to develop.

The track team will head to Seattle

Oregon will send a small squad to compete in the UW Invitational this weekend. Tony James - a freshman out of Florida who is also on the football team - will compete for the first time at the collegiate level. James finished fourth in state for the 100 Meter Championship. The men's indoor team is now ranked No. 1 in the nation, while the women have dropped to No. 4.

That's all I have for you today. GO DUCKS!
