Cornerback Ugo Amadi Flips His Commitment From LSU to Oregon

Amadi committed to Ole Miss before choosing LSU and then flipping to Oregon.

Oregon received big recruiting news tonight when out of nowhere LSU commit and cornerback Ugo Amadi announced via twitter that he was committed to the Ducks.

Amadi is a four star recruit according to Rivals and 247Sports. He is 5'10, 180 lbs and is a very important piece to a recruiting class that must replenish the DB ranks in the Oregon secondary. The Ducks will lose three starters to graduation in Erick Dargan, Troy Hill, and All-American Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, as well as key reserve Dior Mathis.

Amadi originally committed to Ole Miss and then switched his commitment to LSU last week before flipping to Oregon tonight. A native of Tennessee, he had offers from LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, and Penn State, among others.

As mentioned above by Woody Wommack of Rivals, Oregon may not be done in the state of Tennessee. Ugo Amadi has mentioned in the past that he and four-star defensive end Kyle Phillips of Nashville, Tennessee would like to play together in college.

Given Amadi's indecision in the past, his commitment shouldn't be considered ironclad, but if he sticks he would be a great addition to an already strong recruiting class. He is an excellent athlete and very fast and could factor into special teams play right away. You can watch his HUDL highlight video below.
