Quack Fix: Darren Carrington makes big splash in season debut with Ducks

Your daily dose of Oregon Ducks news.

Jennifer Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

  • On Saturday night, the Oregon Ducks defeated the Washington Huskies for the 12th straight year in a 26-20 win.
  • There was a lot of talk about how Vernon Adams finally looked like the quarterback Ducks fans had been expecting to see all year, but the real MVP was Darren Carrington, who caught two touchdown passes in his season debut against Washington.
  • According to offensive coordinator Scott Frost, the win  sparked a killer instinct confidence that the Ducks had in the past, but lacked this season.
  • This win over Washington wasn't a blowout like years past. But fortunately, the defense came up clutch to help lead the Ducks to keep the winning streak over the Huskies alive.
