Quack Fix: Ducks continue winning streak over the Huskies

Your daily dose of Oregon Ducks news.

Jennifer Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

  • The Ducks earned a remarkable 12th straight win over the Huskies on Saturday as the Ducks held on late for a 26-20 victory. After a disappointing loss the week before, the Ducks were up to the challenge of extending the streak against the Huskies.
  • Two weeks after the Ducks used both Jeff Lockie and Taylor Alie at QB against Colorado, a healthier Vernon Adams returned against the Huskies on Saturday and delivered a much-needed win. A win that may have rejuvenated the team going forward.
  • The Ducks may need to make a bowl game for this achievement to happen, but Ducks RB Royce Freeman could be on pace to break the season rushing record held by LaMike James. James set the record in 2011, rushing for 1,805 yards.
  • It won't be a College Football Playoff semifinal, it won't be the Rose Bowl, but the Ducks are only a few wins away from becoming bowl eligible. With USC and Arizona State struggling, and Oregon State near the bottom of the conference, the Ducks have a chance to end the season on a positive not after a rough start to the season. .
