Quack Fix: Helfrich responds to Corso

Your daily dose of Duck news.

Ray Carlin-USA TODAY Sports

  • Last week, Lee Corso made a comment saying how Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich needs to make some changes to his coaching staff in order to get Oregon back to the national championship. This week during a press conference, Helfrich was asked to respond to those remarks.
  • In a recent bowl projection, Sports Illustrated has the Oregon Ducks going to the Sun Bowl to go up against the Virginia Tech Hokies.
  • For a little bit of recruiting news, the Oregon staff has made a "pivotal" offer to wide receiver Dylan Crawford. Crawford is a 6 foot 1, 175 pound wide receiver from Santa Margarita Catholic (Calif.). He is a four star prospect and is currently the 91st overall prospect (according to 247 Sport's Composite Ranking). He just spent a weekend at Michigan, as the Wolverines are going to be a key player here.
  • Lastly, for some golf news, the Ducks shot the lowest round of the season thus far behind freshman Petra Salko.
