Saturday and it actually feels like fall outside. Football is the only possible answer for whatever question you have today, right? Right. The action starts at 9:00, Oregon-time, and finish up with some PAC12 action this evening. I don't know about the rest of you, but after last Saturday, and the week that followed it, I could use some good gridiron action.

As another Saturday approaches us, there are two key games on the menu.  The first of which is Alabama visiting Georgia; a game that sees the Crimson Tide as the "underdog" for the first time in 72 games.
72.
Games.
Let that sink in.
The Bulldogs have a reputation for choking during big, important games.  So the intrigue is real in this matchup.  If Alabama loses, it virtually seals their fate as a team that won't win the SEC and thus, a potential playoff spot.  If Georgia loses, they'll add morefuel to the argument that they can't win when it matters.
The second key game is Notre Dame and Clemson.  Both schools are undefeated and ranked in the top 12 of the AP.  Both teams have yet to be challenged, having come away with victories against poor competition.  That being said, there has been a lot of media attention on this game.
As for everything else going on in the world of college football.....

Other notes regarding today's games: Florida has 21 players who have the flu.  And they're playing Ole Miss. Hmmmm ... TCU is playing like they're on a mission after failing to make last year's Playoffs ... All eyes will be on LSU stud Leonard Fournette and if he'll play enough to have another 200-yard rushing day.  There's a good chance he doesn't play much versus a weak Eastern Michigan team ... Apparently, UCLA has some hotshot quarterback that the country is in love with ... Ohio State hasn't looked impressive this season against mediocre competition.  A win versus Indiana wouldn't impress the masses ... Texas head coach Charlie Strong may not survive the season at the rate the Longhorns are going ...
