Oregon Football Recruiting: Ducks land a big time quarterback.

Ryan Kelley from Basha, Arizona, pulls the trigger and joins the Ducks.

Scott Olmos-USA TODAY Sports

Thursday morning started off great for Ducks fans, as one of the top quarterbacks in the 2017 class decided early this morning to join the Oregon Ducks recruiting class.

Ryan Kelley, a 6'2" and a 170 pounds quarterback, is currently a 4 star prospect according to 247 Sports and is the No. 65 overall player in the 2017 class. Some pretty decent rankings for still being a junior in high school. Kelley is the second verbal commit in the Ducks 2017. He is the only quarterback that is committed to the Ducks in this class as his fellow classmate is Langi Tuifua, a defensive end out of Utah who is currently rated as a four star.

Kelley held offers from some other big name schools, namely UCLA, Michigan State, Texas A&M, and Nebraska. You can imagine that this will grow as his recruiting process moves on.
