- Thanks to Washington upsetting No. 13 Utah this weekend, the Ducks moved up to finish second in the Pac-12. Yes, the same Ducks who were picked to finish eighth before the season. Oregon will face the winner of Wednesday's matchup between Colorado and Oregon State. The Ducks are a combined 3-0 against the Buffaloes and Beavers this season.
- By this point, Oregon is a virtual lock in the NCAA tournament thanks to their incredible finish to the season, winning nine of their final 10 games. ESPN has Oregon facing VCU in the first round, while both CBS Sports and SB Nation have the Ducks facing Ohio State. I'm sure plenty of Ducks fans wouldn't mind a crack at the Buckeyes after January's heartbreak.
- Oregon baseball had another successful weekend at PK Park with a sweep over St. John's. On Sunday, Shaun Chase broke a tie game in the bottom of the eighth with a home run to left field, capping off a sweep that included Oregon's first extra innings game of the year on Friday night in a 4-3 win. The Ducks also took care of business on Saturday, winning decisively 7-2. The Ducks have a two-game series with San Francisco this week at PK Park before hitting the road for their first Pac-12 series of the year against California.
- We're still nearly eight weeks away from the 2015 NFL Draft, but there seems to be a new development on the future of Marcus Mariota just about every day. In case you missed the latest news, a source said the Eagles have internally prepared to move up in the draft to make a trade with the New York Jets if Mariota is available at No. 6.
Tweet of the Weekend
Joe Young is not shy to speak his mind. Young, who guaranteed the Ducks would be going dancing, was fired up on Twitter this weekend, too.
U thought we was number #8 but look at the duckies now #GoDucks
