ATQ NFL Draft 2015 Roundtable: Where will Marcus Mariota land on Thursday?

The 2015 NFL Draft is just over 24 hours away. All your favorite ATQ bloggers chime in with their thoughts on where Marcus Mariota might end up tomorrow. B

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

After months of mock drafts, workouts and speculation, the 2015 NFL Draft is finally upon us. Tomorrow, the brightest stars of the future will gather in Chicago (except...you know...like every big quarterback in this draft) to find out their respective NFL futures.

Marcus Mariota is essentially a lock to be taken in the top 10 overall, and likely wouldn't fall past the Jets at No. 6. Of course, there is always the possibility of a trade for a team lower in the first round to move up and grab Mariota. We gathered the thoughts from a few of our writers to see where they think our beloved Marcus might end up tomorrow.

"I think Tampa Bay takes him #1 and #FSUTwitter explodes"

All I can say is that if this happens, grab your nearest lawn chair and bucket of popcorn.

If Chip wants to win and win now, they have to give up a bunch of shit and get Marcus.

I am also a born-SD-er and a self-loathing Chargers fan, and can't picture what MM would do in Chargerville. Also I can't picture Chargers fandom without love-hating Philip Rivers.

I think if he goes to Tampa or Tennessee he's going to have a real shit career. Not a good history of developing quarterbacks in those systems, even when they've had talented ones.

Agree on all points. I think Chip lost his biggest bargaining chip when he traded McCoy for the Legend of Kiko, and by bringing in Sam Bradford, I don't think he intends to, as he put it, mortgage the future for a chance at Mariota. Mariota to the Chargers has been picking up a lot of steam lately, and my friends who are Chargers fans are trying not to lose their shit this week. Tampa or Tennessee would probably be a death sentence for Mariota's career. Being an instant starter isn't always a good thing. Just ask Aaron Rodgers how waiting for his time panned out.

I love the Chargers and would want him in SD. I believe Mariota will end up in Cleveland. He worked out with one of the Browns coaches and it sounds like the cover Mariota.

Mariota has been working with Kevin O'Connell, the quarterback coach of the Cleveland Browns. Despite bringing in Josh McCown and Johnny Manziel, who apparently has a fresh outlook on life after rehab, Cleveland sounds like they aren't set on a quarterback of the future just yet. Mariota could be that guy.

And as for me? I see him going to Tennessee. They'll listen to every trade offer on the table for that No. 2 pick, but the quarterbacks on the Titans' roster right now are Zach Mettenberger, Charlie Whitehurst and Alex Tanney. That's not exactly the most promising depth chart. In a best case scenario, those guys would probably lead you to 7 or 8 wins, but only if they had career years.

If there is a trade that goes down, I think Cleveland comes calling to jump up to No. 2 and grab Mariota, just because of O'Neil and Mariota already having an established relationship.

At the end of the day, I just want Mariota to go to a team where he will succeed eventually. He doesn't have to be Rookie of the Year and win from the start. I would just feel terrible if he had a career like Joey Harrington's where he is doomed from the start and fades out of the league after years of mediocre results and riding the bench.
