The last weekend at Howe Field.
Unlike the battle over Civic Stadium, many people are excited about a new stadium being built. Howe Field is one of the last facilities that hasn't had the Oregon remodel. Hopefully the new facility will have a bathroom and unobstructed views of the field.
Oregon will lean on Mitchell Tolman for the final home stand.
Tolman has come up big for the Ducks this season. On Tuesday against Oregon State Tolman had a double in the eighth inning that sparked Oregon's come from behind victory. In April, Tolman was benched and the Ducks record fell to 22-17. Oregon has come back to life and can boost their postseason chances by beating the visiting UCLA Bruins. Today's game will be at 4 p.m. on the Pac-12 Networks.
The Ducks will set a new NCAA Track and Field record.
Oregon will set a record at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds in Austin, Texas. The Ducks have a record 75 entries that will compete on May 28-30. Of the 75 entries, 42 men will be competing; Oregon's male participants will best Arkansas' record that was set in 2012.
Men's basketball will go to Spain this summer.
Oregon will play five games against professional teams in Spain this summer. The team will fly over in August for a 10-day trip. Right now the team is trying to get healthy and improve from last year. Player's enrolled at Oregon are allowed to practice with a coach for two hours a week.
Mariota's Heisman Trophy will be in Portland.
The 2014 Heisman Trophy will be on display at the Oregon Historical Society. The public can view the trophy June 5-7. Admission will be free because of a partnership with Nike.
Darron Thomas named week 8 AFL MVP.
Thomas was named the Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday and the awards keep stacking up. The Thunder will play the Orlando Predators on Saturday.
