Royce Freeman graces cover of ESPN The Magazine's college football preview issue

It ain't Sports Illustrated, but it's a start.

On Monday night, ESPN revealed the four regional covers for the college football preview issue of ESPN The Magazine. Oregon running back Royce Freeman landed one of the spots, while other covers featured Alabama's Derrick Henry, TCU's Trevone Boykin and Ohio State's Cardale Jones.

Last season, Freeman exploded onto the college football season with the Ducks, rushing for 1,365 yards and 20 total touchdowns. Freeman became just the fourth freshman in conference history to rush for over 1,000 yards.

By this point, Oregon is used to seeing their athletes on the covers of national sports publications. During Marcus Mariota's career with the Ducks, the quarterback appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated four times (plus once more when he was drafted No. 2 overall by the Titans).
