According to ESPN Young will be a first round pick.
Earlier this week I wrote about how Young was projected to be drafted in the second round. His draft stock has increased dramatically and he is now projected to be taken by the Lakers with the 27th pick. Young recently graduated from the University of Oregon on Monday and looks to be the first Duck selected in the first round since Aaron Brooks in 2007.
Who are the best backup quarterbacks in the Pac-12?
Although Oregon doesn't even have a starter many journalists think that Jeff Lockie is the best backup in the conference. It would make sense that whoever loses the Oregon battle would be considered one of the best. We are talking about handing the keys to Oregon's Ferrari and not little brothers hand-me-down John Deere.
Johnathan Loyd is on a USA All-Star team that will play in China.
Loyd will play against teams from China, Denmark and Slovenia. The first set of games will be played on June 22-24. In the 2013 Pac-12 basketball tournament Loyd was named the tournaments Most Valuable Player.
Marcus Mariota is finishing minicamp strong.
The Tennessee Titans' staff and players are impressed with Mariota so far. Mariota plans on going back to Hawaii for a little bit after training camp to visit with family. Players will have a few weeks to prepare for training camp, which will start on July 30. The few weeks that Mariota has off won't be wasted. He has already planned on getting together with his receivers so they can develop a bond and timing.
