With under two and a half months remaining until the kickoff of the 2015 season, Oregon's 2016 recruiting class landed it's 10th commitment in Darrian Franklin.

Franklin, a four-star in 247Sport's composite ratings, is a native of Downey, California. The outside linebacker showed reported interest in USC, Arizona, Arizona State and Cal.
At 6-foot-1, 210 pounds, Franklin has the size to be a presence in the front seven on defense. He played wide receiver as well in high school, and while he likely won't see any time at that position at Oregon, his speed will help rushing off of the edge.
Franklin is the first linebacker the Ducks have added in the 2016 class (fourth defensive player overall). With Joe Walker, Tyson Coleman and Rodney Hardrick departing following this upcoming season, Franklin will have an early chance to fight for playing time.
