• Despite having been out since 2013 due to injury, OL Tyler Johnstone is expected to play a key role for a rebuilding Ducks' OL in 2015, and has been named to the Outland Trophy watch list. His teammate, and a key returning starter on defense, DE DeForest Buckner also joined the fun, being named to the Nagurski Trophy watch list.
• Will the transfer of Vernon Adams to Oregon be worth it? As the season draws closer, it's unknown how fast Adams will able to grasp the offense before the season opener against his former team, Eastern Washington on September 5th. However, Jeff Lockie will be more than ready for his opportunity to become the starter though his experience of the offense, and after learning behind Marcus Mariota last season.
• Washington hasn't defeated Oregon since 2003, and even without having to face QB Marcus Mariota again, they still face another tough Oregon team to try to break the streak. Andrew Greif takes an early look at the 2015 edition of this match up between these two heated rivals.
• A few weeks ago, it was announced that Oregon and Auburn would face each other in 2019 in Dallas, Texas for the first time since their BCS title game match up in 2011 which Auburn narrowly won. However, an effort was made to get these two teams to play a neutral site 2 game series, one in Atlanta and one in San Francisco. Here's a better idea. Schedule a home and home series between these two teams. Many fans from both schools would love the opportunity to visit the opposing campus.
