4* WR Theo Howard de-commits from Oregon

The Ducks' 2016 recruiting class lost one of it's top recruits on Sunday

The Oregon Ducks' 2016 recruiting class took a hit on Sunday, as 4* wide-receiver Theo Howard de-committed from Oregon. He announced the move via his Twitter account.

The California product originally committed on March 15 of this year. He's currently ranked as the No. 16 wide receiver in the nation for 2016 (via 247Sports). He cited that it was the best decision for his future as a man and as a student athlete.

Howard had received interest from UCLA, Cal, USC and several other schools (many of which are from the Pac-12) prior to his commitment, so it's going to be interesting to keep an eye on his landing spot, as he could be lining up against a Ducks defensive back just a few years from now.

The Ducks have one other wide receiver commit in the 2016 class (4* Dillon Mitchell) as well as eleven other recruits. They currently hold the No. 15 recruiting class nation-wide (per 247Sports).
