  • On Friday night, Marcus Mariota made his unofficial NFL debut as the Titans faced the Falcons in Atlanta. Mariota completed 7-of-8 passes for 94 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. Mariota also had a fumble, but bounced back nicely from a shaky start.
    • Last night on Twitter, 4-star wide receiver Theo Howard announced he is de-committing from Oregon. Howard, the No. 16 wide receiver in the nation (247Sports), originally committed to the Ducks back in March after receiving interest from several other Pac-12 schools, including USC, UCLA and Cal.
    • Competition is healthy for everyone, and that proved to be the case on Friday during Vernon Adams' first day of practice with the Ducks. Mark Helfrich said that Jeff Lockie had his best practice yet.
    • And over in Philadelphia, former Oregon running back Kenjon Barner made a splash in the Eagles' preseason opener against the Colts, returning a kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown.
