AP Top 25/Coaches Poll: Ducks No. 13 in both polls

The Ducks hold their position in the polls after a 61-28 win over Georgia State.

Scott Olmos-USA TODAY Sports

The Ducks wrapped up business early against Georgia State on Saturday, cruising to a 61-28 win with Jeff Lockie getting the start  at QB over Vernon Adams, who sat out the game with his broken index finger injury. Despite a chaotic Saturday that saw No. 2 Alabama, No. 6 USC and No. 18 Auburn all lose, the Ducks stay at No. 13 in the Coaches Poll, and drop one spot in the AP Poll to No. 13.

Oregon will have a chance to move up next weekend as the Ducks open up conference play next weekend against No. 18 Utah at home. Not that these 2 polls matter, but a win against a ranked opponent will certainly be noticed by the Selection Committee. Oregon's only other ranked opponent on their schedule, USC, lost by 10 to Stanford on Saturday and fell to No. 19 in the latest AP Poll.
