Happy Saturday, Ducklings! While our beloved Webfoots take a well-needed weekend off, we are left with some other promising games to occupy the first half of our weekend.
The main picture of that of the Western Michigan Broncos. Being that I live about 45 minutes from the WMU campus, I wanted to deliver some local appreciation, as well as some fun facts.
Did you know - Western Michigan is now nationally ranked. Its the first time in school history the team has ever been nationally ranked. They’re also 6-0 for the first time since 1941, and that includes wins over Illinois and Northwestern University. In 2013, the Broncos were a team with a brutal 1-11 record. They play the Akron Zips today.
Game of the Day - (1) Alabama and (9) Tennessee will exchange blows in an SEC matchup. The Volunteers have been a pleasant surprise this season. Desmond Howard recently called them “the most dangerous team in college football.” However, if the Tide walk away with a victory, it will mark their 10th straight win against the Vols.
