With the Ducks off to a sluggish 2-3 start coming into their showdown with fifth-ranked Washington, the 24 hour news cycle has not been kind.
- The Seattle Times was one of many to sound off, calling (or at least questioning) the end to Oregon's dynasty.
- ESPN's Mark Schlabach kisses goodbye to the Ducks' playoff hopes, although I'm not sure why he waited until this week. He gave a rundown of who's in contention and who's out in week 5, and listed way too many teams in the process.
- A more positive ESPN article, citing cause for perspective amidst this early season crisis. The Ducks averaged just under 11 wins the preceding eight years.
