GameThread: Oregon Ducks vs. Washington Huskies

Can the Ducks upset the Huskies to make it 13 in a row?

Jennifer Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Oregon Ducks find themselves in unfamiliar territory, being underdogs at home to the Washington Huskies. At least so far this year, the hype around Washington seems to finally be real. The Huskies are coming off a 44-6 whooping of Stanford up in Seattle last weekend, and they'll be looking for their first win over the Ducks in 13 years.

Oregon, meanwhile, is having a bit of an identity crisis. It appears as if their latest prized FCS transfer in Dakota Prukop will be watching from the sidelines tonight (at least to start with) as all signs as of this writing (on Friday night) are pointing towards true freshman Justin Herbert getting the start for the Ducks.

This would be Herbert's first career start at Oregon. In last week's loss against Washington State, Herbert came in late and completed 3-of-5 passes for 70 yards as well as one rushing touchdown.

Can the Ducks pull the upset to keep their winning streak alive, or will Washington keep rolling on their path to the College Football Playoff?
