Sports Illustrated Features Oregon Basketball

The 2016 College Basketball Preview magazine for SI is Duck-focused. Chris Boucher embraces cover boy role

Sports Illustrated has chosen the Oregon Ducks, alongside Chris Boucher, to feature for their cover story of the 2016 College Basketball Preview magazine.

This season, SI has the Ducks ranked No. 4 behind their clear-favorite, No. 1 Duke. Kansas enters the fray at No. 2 and John Calipari’s Kentucky takes home the third spot.

Last season, the Ducks achieved great success on their way to the Elite Eight. Unfortunately, Oregon fell to Oklahoma just prior to the Final Four.

At 31-7 overall, and 14-4 in the Pac-12 last season, the Ducks are anticipating even bigger results this campaign. And from the look of it, the rest of the nation is starting to take notice.

Boucher was a huge part of Dana Altman’s system in 2015-16. The big man averaged 12.1 PPG, 7.4 RPG and an astounding 2.9 BPG. He truly will be one of the many focal point’s of a deep Duck squad in 2016-17.

The Sports Illustrated issue should hit shelves by November 7 of next week.
