The Ducks only played once last week, but they made it count, defeating Alabama on Sunday afternoon in Eugene.
In the latest AP Top 25 released today, the Ducks moved up two spots from No. 22 to No. 24.
After improving to No. 4 after the first week of the season, Oregon fell to No. 13, then to No. 23 and then to No. 24. Finally, the Ducks were able to climb back up a couple spots in the rankings.
The top five from last week remains the same with Villanova at No. 1, followed by UCLA, Kansas, Baylor and Duke.
With USC appearing in this week’s poll at No. 24 thanks to a 9-0 start, the Pac-12 now has four teams in the top 25. No other schools in the conference received votes.
This week, Oregon faces Montana on Tuesday night in Eugene and UNLV on Saturday night at the Moda Center in Portland. The Ducks will then wrap up non-conference play with a game against Fresno State next Tuesday night before a showdown with No. 2 UCLA on the road to open Pac-12 play on December 28.
