National Signing Day 2016: Tristen Wallace signs with Oregon

Oregon football makes one of its biggest commitments official, as Tristen Wallace puts his words to paper on National Signing Day.

Despite a verbal commitment to coach Urban Meyer and the Ohio State Buckeyes in March, 247Sports' No. 10 ranked athlete Tristen Wallace chose to call Oregon home, making the pledge official on Wednesday. Wallace visited both UCLA and then Oregon in December, and announced his decision to flip his commitment shortly after.

The 6'3 228-pound quarterback at DeSoto High School in Texas threw for 2,188 yards, 12 touchdowns and eight interceptions, and rushed for 1,401 yards and 17 touchdowns, though he told his high school coach he saw himself as a college receiver.

As a four-star recruit, he ranks the Lone Star state's No. 30 player in the class of 2016, and No. 194 in the nation according to 247Sports. Wallace chose the Ducks over offers from Baylor, Indiana, Louisville, Mississippi State, Nebraska, TCU, Texas and Texas Tech among others.

Here's some tape of one of the Ducks' most heavily anticipated recruits.
