For Samuelu Poutasi, football runs in the family. If his name sounds familiar, that's because his older brother is protecting another Duck at the NFL level. Samuelu's older brother, Jeremiah, is an offensive tackle for the Tennessee Titans, helping protect our beloved Marcus Mariota.

Poutasi is a 3-star offensive lineman out of Desert Pines High School in Las Vegas, Nevada who had other offers from Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon State, San Diego State, Washington State, UNLV and others. He stands at 6-foot-4 and weighs in at 310 pounds.
The Ducks missed out on his 4-star brother in 2012, but that process helped the Ducks land Samuelu, who said that ever since Steve Greatwood came to visit his home while recruiting Jeremiah, he was sold. When the Ducks offered Samuelu a scholarship, it took just five hours for him to commit.
Poutasi was injured as a senior with a torn ACL, so he flew under the radar a bit. However, the Ducks remained committed and now have a talented offensive lineman in their arsenal.
