With the recent success of the Oregon basketball program, it should come as no surprise that their recruiting visits will get more and more lucrative as time goes on. That was the case this week as the Ducks visited Hamidou Diallo, a 5-star shooting guard from Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut.
Diallo recently took part in the Nike EYBL event in Brooklyn and looked good, scoring 17 points to go along with five rebounds, five steals and two blocks. Diallo, who stands at 6'5" and weighs 175 pounds, is the No. 14 player in ESPN's 2017 top 60 and is the third-best guard in the rankings.
Of course, the list of offers for Diallo is extensive and currently includes programs like Arizona, Connecticut, Duke, Kansas and Syracuse. With a number of strong programs back east already sending out offers for Diallo, it could be tough to convince him to come all the way out to Eugene, thousands of miles away from his home in Queens, NY. This week, Duke and Kentucky also made a visit to see Diallo play.
You can check out his highlights from last weekend below and see for yourself how talented this young guard is.
