The Oregon softball team has had another wildly successful season, and the recent conference awards reflected that as the Ducks took home four of the Pac-12's five individual awards.
Head coach Mike White was named the Pac-12 coach of the year, Cheridan Hawkins was named Pac-12 pitcher of the year, Janelle Lindvall earned Pac-12 defensive player of the year while Megan Kleist was named Pac-12 co-freshman of the year.
This is the third time Mike White has been named the Pac-12 coach of the year, also winning the award in 2013 and 2014.
Hawkins was named Pac-12 pitcher of the year for the third time, something that has never been done before. This year, Hawkins went 21-3 with 235 strikeouts in 148.2 innings pitched.
White, Hawkins, Lindvall and Kleist helped lead the Ducks to a 44-8 record an a No. 5 overall seed in the NCAA tournament. Oregon will host a regional for the fifth straight season, starting with a Friday night contest against Fordham at 8:30 pm at Jane Sanders Stadium.
