On Thursday, the NBA released their list of invites to the draft combine, and among those is Oregon's Elgin Cook. The Ducks had a few players declare for the draft, including Tyler Dorsey and Dylon Brooks, but Cook was the only Duck to get an invite to the combine.
According to DraftExpress.com, Cook comes in at No. 85 on their list of top 100 prospects. Dillon Brooks came in ranked 73rd on the DraftExpress list while Tyler Dorsey wasn't in their top 100. Going purely off of rankings, that puts Cook 25 spots outside of the 60 picks that will be made in two rounds, but a strong showing at the combine could change that.
This past year, Cook averaged 14.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game, starting in all of Oregon's 38 games. Cook earned a number of honors, including all-Pac-12 first team and Pac-12 Tournament MVP as well as the NCAA Tournament all-West Region team.
The NBA Draft combine takes place May 11-15 in Chicago.
