- The defensive line for the Ducks will be an interesting group to watch after changing to a 4-3 scheme in addition to losing DeForest Buckner. The players vying for playing time are Austin Maloata, Rex Manu, and Canton Kaumatule.
- Devon Allen may compete in one more race at Hayward before jetting off to Rio de Janeiro for the upcoming Olympics. Allen would like to run, along with Jonathan Cabral who qualified for Canada, in the TrackTown Summer Series. The race has filled up but if details can be worked out, the pair would both like to run as a tune-up. Neither would run again until August 15th.
- ESPN's Pac-12 blog is taking ganders at who will emerge victorious in Oregon's October 8 meeting with Washington at Autzen. The Huskies have been garnering a lot of preseason love, but the Ducks still hold a 12-game winning streak in the series.
