Oregon Ducks fans got some unfortunate news on the eve of the first college football game of the season as defensive end Torrodney Prevot has been suspended indefinitely for violating the athletic department code of conduct.
Coach Mark Helfrich announced the suspension in a statement Friday night. The University of Oregon police department has also confirmed Prevot is under investigation.
The Daily Emerald, the school’s student newspaper, reports that a former student-athlete has accused Prevot of assaulting her.
Prevot, a senior, was not listed on a two-deep roster also released Friday.
