2nd Half GameThread: No. 24 Oregon Ducks vs. Virginia Cavaliers

NCAA Football: Virginia at Oregon Cole Elsasser-USA TODAY Sports

The Oregon offense was firing on all cylinders during the first half. Dakota Prukop threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns while Royce Freeman went over the century mark on the ground with a touchdown of his own. This is the 18th time that Freeman has rushed over 100 yards in a game during his career at Oregon.

Oregon’s defense looked a little shaky early as Virginia was able to tie the game in the first quarter and move the ball with relative ease. However, penalties hurt the Cavaliers as the half went on, allowing the Ducks to build a 30-6 lead.

One of the most exciting moments of the first half was when Pharaoh Brown hauled in his first touchdown pass since his gruesome leg injury he suffered against Utah back in 2014. The dude nearly had his leg amputated, and he’s back scoring touchdowns. What a warrior.
