The Ducks gave us all quite the scare today when they trailed UC Davis by a touchdown for much of the first quarter. After a muffed punt by Charles Nelson, the Aggies marched down the field to strike first.
But late in the first quarter, Royce Freeman finally got the Ducks on the board with this impressive touchdown run, dancing and weaving his way into the end zone for Oregon’s first touchdown of the season.
The play was set up by a nice slant route to Darren Carrington. Earlier in the drive, Pharaoh Brown also had a nice play with a 23-yard reception, with about half of those yards coming after the catch.
On the extra point, the Ducks lined up to go for two, and somehow UC Davis didn't notice even though THEY HAVE DONE THIS EVERY GAME FOR ALMOST THE PAST DECADE. But that’s neither here nor there.
