WATCH: Oregon Ducks ‘Art of the Athlete’

UO players show their artistic side in five-year-old program.

Not many people put artists and athletes into the same box, but as as this video from CBS Sports shows, for some Oregon Ducks football players the two worlds overlap nicely:

The five-year-old “Art of the Athlete” program has inspired and impacted the lives of many UO players, including Arrion Springs, Tyrell Crosby, Tyree Robinson and Ugo Amadi.

The players admit they didn’t take really take to art before, but they’ve warmed up to it through the program, which is run by instructor Lisa Abia-Smith.

Participants paint mostly about their lives, where they’re from, struggles growing up. They also work with local children with disabilities. Check out the video for the full story.
