At A Glance
- No. 13 Oregon Ducks (15-2, 4-0 Pac-12) — No. 13 Oregon swept the Evergreen State last week, topping Washington on Wednesday and Washington State on Saturday, to extend its winning streak to 13 games, two shy of a school record… The Ducks return Eugene, where they look to lengthen their home-game winning streak, which currently stands at 35 games, the second longest active streak in the country behind Kansas (48)… Oregon ranks first in the country with 125 blocks, thanks in large to Chris Boucher (44, 15th nationally) and Jordan Bell (35, 33rd nationally)… Three different Ducks have scored at least 28 points in the past three games to help UO remain undefeated in Pac-12 play: Dillon Brooks, who scored 23 points (including the game-winning triple) against No. 2 UCLA on Dec. 28, poured in 28 points against USC two nights later; Tyler Dorsey went off for 28 points against Washington in the Ducks’ first Pac-12 road test; and most recently, Boucher notched a career-high 29 points off the bench against Washington State.
"It's difficult, because we have 10 guys who are good basketball players and want to play," coach Dana Altman said. "It's been tough for those guys. They've just got to always make the decision: What's more important, the team and winning, or individual things? Fortunately we've had good guys who have been about the team.”
- Oregon State Beavers ( 4-13, 0-4 Pac-12) — The Beavers has dropped 10 of the past 11, with their lone win during that time coming against Kent State on Dec. 21… OSU has played the same conference slate at UO so far, but has fallen to USC, UCLA, WSU and most recently UW… The Beavers have struggled with injuries, as Tres Tinkle (wrist) and Cheikh N’Diaye (shoulder) have been sidelined, and Stephen Thomas Jr. missed six games after OSU’s season-opening win. Through the first six games, Tinkle led the Beavers with 20.2 points per game... Three other Beavers are averaging double figures: Thomas Jr. (15.7ppg, 4.2rpg, 16stl), Drew Eubanks (14.4ppg, 8.7rpg, 42blk) and Jaquori MaLaughlin (12.1ppg, 2.4apg, 12stl).
